The short version
We deliver boxes or bring the van to your door, you tell us what is going, and we do the lifting. Your things go into a secure, monitored facility. When you want them, you get in touch and we bring them back. Prices start at 18 pounds a month including VAT, which is about 4.15 pounds a week, and collection and return are free when you store with us for three months or more.

Step by step
You tell us roughly what you have. A few boxes, a spare room, the contents of a two-bed flat. If you are not sure, guess high. Almost everyone underestimates, and the wardrobe is always bigger than people remember.
We agree a day and a three hour window. Morning, middle of the day, or afternoon. One collection per window, so you are not sitting in waiting for a van that is running four jobs behind.
We turn up and load it. You point, we carry. If something is awkward, a piano on a spiral staircase or a loft with no boarding, we will say so honestly rather than have a go and damage it.
It goes into storage. The facility is monitored by CCTV with motion sensors and there is no public access.
You ask for it back. Get in touch and we will arrange the return. We need 24 to 48 hours notice so we can pull your things and book the van in.

The honest comparison
I would rather lay both options out than tell you we are better, so here they are.
Traditional self storage is cheaper on paper. You rent a room, you have a key, and if you live ten minutes away and own a van, it is hard to beat. Some people genuinely want to potter about in their unit on a Sunday, and we are not that.
Collection storage is cheaper in practice for most people. Not because the rent is lower, but because the rent is not the whole cost. Add van hire, fuel, a day off work, and two people giving up a Saturday twice over, and the gap closes fast. Then it keeps going.
The catch, and it is a real one: you cannot drop in whenever you like. Access is by arrangement, not a code on a gate at two in the morning. For most people storing things they are not using, that turns out not to matter. For a market trader restocking twice a week, it matters a lot, and we would tell you so.
I think collection and return suits most people most of the time. I do not think drive-up sites are rubbish, and I would like to run one eventually. But the market has not really caught up with the idea that the storage company can do the driving, and I do not see why more of them will not end up doing it.
What it costs, and what is not included
Our entry price is 18 pounds a month including VAT. Every job is quoted individually, because a few boxes and a three-bed house are not the same thing.
Two things sit on top of the storage price, and I would rather flag them now than let you find them at checkout. Contents cover is required and is not included. You will also need a padlock, which is 8 pounds. Wherever you end up storing, budget for both, because they are not unique to us.

Which service fits
Most people fall into one of two camps. If you have a room's worth or more, self storage, collected and returned is the one. If it is genuinely just a few boxes and a suitcase, Storage by the Box is priced per item and works out cheaper.
Businesses tend to want something different again, usually stock or archive boxes that need to come back in an order that makes sense, which is business storage in Kent.
A note on where we are up to
We opened on 1 August 2026. I am not going to pretend otherwise, and there is no point claiming a track record I do not have yet.
What I will say is that this is the third go at it. I tried a container site once and it did not work out. Then an indoor warehouse, which also did not work out. Collection and return was partly a strategic choice and partly the cheapest way to start, and I would rather tell you that than dress it up.
The week we opened, I was practising reversing a trailer in a car park before anyone trusted me with their sofa. It is the biggest van I have ever driven. That is roughly how much of this business is me on a plate.
The promise that comes with it is simple, and it is the same one I have used in my other business for years. If you are not happy, we are not happy, so please tell us.
