Cookie policy
This policy explains what cookies are, which ones this site uses and why, and how you can change your mind at any time. It sits alongside our privacy policy, which covers how we handle your personal data more generally.
Who we are
This website is run by My Storage Group Ltd (company number 16390299), which trades as Collect Storage. You can reach us at [email protected] or by post at 15 George Stewart Avenue, Faversham, Kent, ME13 8FJ. In this policy, “we”, “us” and “our” mean Collect Storage.
What cookies are
Cookies are small text files a website saves on your device. They do useful jobs like remembering choices you’ve made, keeping the site secure, and helping us see how the site is used. Some are essential; most are optional and only used if you say yes. We treat other similar technologies (like the browser’s local storage) the same way we treat cookies.
The cookies we use, and why
We group cookies into four categories. Only the necessary ones are switched on by default — the rest stay off unless you turn them on.
Necessary (always on)
These make the site work and keep it secure, so they can’t be switched off. They don’t track you. This includes a small cookie (named cs_consent) that simply remembers your cookie choices so we don’t keep asking, along with cookies that keep our forms and pages working.
Functional
These remember choices you make — such as your area or display preferences — so the site feels more personal. The site still works without them.
Analytics
These help us understand how people use the site — which pages are visited and where things could be clearer — so we can improve it. We look at this information in aggregate, not to identify you. We use Google Analytics 4 for this, and only when you’ve allowed analytics cookies. When allowed, it sets two cookies — _ga and _ga_TXGJNF1GWN — which last up to two years and help us tell returning visits apart from new ones. If you don’t allow analytics cookies, these are not set.
Marketing
These let us measure and improve our advertising and show you more relevant messages. We don’t sell your data. These cookies are only set if you allow marketing cookies, and any cookie names will be listed here once we begin advertising.
Google Consent Mode
We use Google Consent Mode, which means Google’s tools respect your choice before setting any cookies. If you don’t consent to analytics or marketing, Google’s tags either stay off or send anonymous, cookie-free signals only — never anything that identifies you.
How to change or withdraw your consent
You’re in control. Click the small round cookie preferences button in the bottom-left corner of any page to reopen your settings and change what you allow at any time. You can also clear cookies through your browser settings.
To keep your choice current, we’ll ask again after 6 months, or sooner if we make a meaningful change to how we use cookies.
Complaints and more information
If you have concerns about how we use cookies or your personal data, please get in touch first and we’ll do our best to help. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), the UK’s data protection regulator, at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint. For more on how we handle your data, see our privacy policy.
